INFO

Throughout the second half of April 2009, between the dates of 12th to 26th, we will run a series of poker tournaments – The Grand Series of Poker II.
There will be a total of 16 events with different buy-ins and all guaranteeing big cash. The focus on the GSOP events are primarily No Limit Texas Hold’em but there also will be Pot Limit Omaha, Omaha hi/lo and Texas Hold’em limit events. For every day during the period there is an interesting GSOP event starting at 21:00 CET! Qualifiers to the different GSOP events will be starting prior to one month before the first GSOP event so there are plenty of chances for you to gain entry into the different events no matter your bankroll.
All these 16 events hand out a Grand Slam ticket to the winner and also award points towards a leaderboard where the top 100 will get a chance to compete for 4 more tickets to the Grand Slam Final. The Grand Slam is the final event in the GSOP and will the crowning glory of the GSOP.
During the GSOP period there will also be scheduled daily qualifiers guaranteeing at least 1 ticket to the Grand Slam Final. This means that you can win through to the Grand Slam via winning one of the 16 GSOP events, the leaderboard, the cheap daily qualifiers or just buy in directly. Regardless of what stakes you favour, you will have multiple choices for a chance in the Grand Slam Final!
The Grand Slam Final will take place Sunday 3rd of May on the weekend after the last Event, and will have a $5,000 buy in. The Grand Slam Final will be an attractive high buy in tournament where the GSOP event winners, the lucky qualifiers, the leaderboard winners and players buying in directly will meet for a Grand Slam tournament that now guarantees $300,000!
Gsop sidebet
Fancy a sidebet on the whole GSOP? Now you can enjoy a sidebet option if you want to raise the stakes with the other high rollers. There will be run a GSOP Sidebet event with a buy in of $1000+0. There is no fee to the sidebet so you can bet on your own poker skills without any commission!
The GSOP Sidebet event is not a regular tournament per se; it is simply a registration for the GSOP sidebet prize pool. As a visual representation of the sidebet, a sidebet tournament will run after registration but simply open, award everyone the same ticket ‘GSOP Sidebet’ and then finished without any play. The hand out of a ’GSOP Sidebet’ ticket to the players will be a confirmation of their participation in the sidebet. All of you with a GSOP SideBet ticket will be competing in a sidebet for the best position in the GSOP leaderboard. After the last GSOP event has been played out on the 26th of April, the sidebet players with the highest scores in the GSOP leaderboard will win their share of the sidebet prize pool.
For reference the sidebet leaderboard standings will be displayed here.
The sidebet pay out will be made manually after the leaderboard has been tallied and the ‘GSOP sidebet’ tickets will expired for yours account.
